Vision
The Remember Me...Bring Awareness Back to the HIV/AIDS Ribbon campaign restores global awareness of the ribbon's importance by uniting persons with lived experience, affected communities, advocates, allies and celebrities. Using both established and creative methods, we aim to educate, advocate, offer moral support and envision a world united and working together in this effort while helping to end stigma.
Mission
Our mission is to unite persons with lived experience of HIV/AIDS, affected communities, advocates, allies, and celebrities to restore the importance of the Red Ribbon through community-centered and innovative outreach that reignites global awareness and support.
Narrative
Remember Me...Bring Awareness Back to the HIV/AIDS Ribbon
- Reviving the Red Ribbon, Reigniting awareness and Restoring hope-
At the heart of the Remember Me...Bring Awareness Back to the HIV/AIDS Ribbon
campaign is a profound commitment to restoring global awareness of the
HIV/AIDS Ribbon and its heartfelt significance. Through collaboration and
education we envision a world united by compassion, where the memory of those
lost to complications of HIV/AIDS is honored while bringing attention to the increasing statistics of
those currently living with a positive diagnosis.
Our vision thrives on the synergy of bringing together members of those with lived experience, affected communities, advocates (All while maintaining dedication to their respective works), allies, celebrities (of all respects) and concerned individuals without discrimination against any race, ethnicity, gender identity, religion, age, disability, socio-economic status or sexual orientation. This campaign desires to reach the younger generation, the newly diagnosed individual and those that may not be familiar with this issue.
By harnessing their influence and amplifying their voices, we strive to restore conversations around HIV/AIDS, propelling it back into the public consciousness. Ensuring that focus includes the importance of remembering that HIV/AIDS is a “human” (regardless of sexual orientation or how one identifies) health condition where once a diagnosis from terminal and fatal has become chronic and manageable. This brings about life altering questions from and for those currently living with this diagnosis, highlighting the need for mental health to become a more common topic of discussion.
The Remember Me... Campaign aims to serve as a common ground for all individuals
and organizations passionate about the cause, fostering unity and collaboration. It is
important to note that our mission is not to claim credit for advocacy efforts
previously or currently done by others, but rather to create a space where everyone can work together in advancing awareness and action surrounding HIV/AIDS. We humbly recognize the contributions of all advocates who have worked tirelessly in this fight, and we invite them to join us in our shared commitment to making a difference.
From the heart of every community in the United States to the farthest corners of the
globe, our campaign ignites a resurgence of purpose. Chapters sprout like beacons
of hope, united in their dedication to raising awareness, ending stigma, and offering
moral support to those with lived experience as well as those affected. These chapters are part
of the necessary structure for change, working continuously to drive forward our
collective mission.
Central to our journey are the online Summits and Town-Halls, vital platforms for
enlightenment and learning. Through these gatherings, we cultivate a deeper
understanding of the Remember Me...Campaign's goals, the nuances of
HIV/AIDS, and the critical importance of advocacy and awareness. We envision
these events as opportunities for minds to connect, hearts to unite, and
knowledge to flourish with hopes of more individuals having the mindset of not just living with HIV/AIDS, but becoming thrivers in the process.
Our vision transcends boundaries utilizing established as well as non-traditional methods. The campaign's
influence resonates across borders, touching lives with its unwavering message of
compassion and unity. Through cooperation and shared purpose, we believe that the
world can transform into a place where HIV/AIDS is eradicated, its stigma dissolved,
and its memory preserved.
Join us as we revive the HIV/AIDS Ribbon's legacy and inscribe a new chapter in
the fight against this issue. Let us bring forth the spirit of uniting diverse populations, harnessing the power of influential voices, and creating a world where every life is cherished, every story remembered, and every individual empowered to make a difference.
